Rebo – Trentino Doc

Caratteristiche

Grape variety

Rebo, an autochthonous red grape variety obtained in 1948 by Rebo Rigotti, a geneticist from Trentino, obtained by cross pollinating Merlot with Teroldego.

Vineyards

Rebo has found an ideal location in the Valle dei Laghi, home to its creator. Thanks to the nature of the soils in combination with the mild and airy microclimate, we obtain the best grapes for this uniquely structured wine.

Vinification & Aging

after crushing-destemming, a maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature takes place for over 15 days, followed by an aging of over 12 months in large oak barrels.

Organoleptic characteristics

a ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose, it has intense and distinct aromas of wild berries, with a clear memory of blueberry and raspberry. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety and well structured with a persistent finish.

Tasting & Pairing

best served in large wine glasses at a temperature of 16-18°C. It is an ideal accompaniment to traditional typical Trentino dishes, red or grilled meats. If kept in a good cellar, this wine ages well for a few years.
