Moscato Giallo – Trentino Doc Bio

Caratteristiche

Grape variety

Moscato Giallo belongs to the great family of the Moscati. The wine's name derives from the Latin word muscum (moss) due to its intense perfume and sweet aroma.

Vineyards

coming from the vineyards of the Az Agr Toblino Bio Certified where selected grapes for this distinctively aromatic white are produced.

Vinification & Aging

after crushing-destemming, a classic white vinification takes place with short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel. A few months of aging in steel and in bottle follow.

Organoleptic characteristics

straw yellow in color, with light green hues. Quite intense on the nose with distinctive aromas reminiscent of the original grape. Pleasantly sweet on the palate, never sickly, with excellent balance and freshness.

Tasting & Pairing

best enjoyed whilst young and served at cool temperature 8 – 10° C in medium sized wine glasses. Moscato Giallo, thanks to its mild sweetness, is ideal at the end of the meal to accompany dry pastries or fruity desserts such as apple strudel. It can also be served as an unusual aperitif.
