Lagrein Kretzer – Trentino Doc Bio

Caratteristiche

Grape variety

Lagrein, a grape variety native of the South Tyrol, that is suited for the production of pleasant rosé wines.

Vineyards

from the Az Agr Toblino Bio Certified, Lagrein Kretzer has found an ideal location in the alluvial plains of the river Sarca which offer sandy and light soils. The mild and airy microclimate contributes to the perfect ripening of the grapes.

Vinification & Aging

after crushing-destemming, a short cold maceration takes place in contact with the skins which gives the wine its characteristic rosé color. This is followed by a fermentation at a controlled temperature and a short aging in stainless steel.

Organoleptic characteristics

bright rosé color, with vivid cherry hues. A delicate nose reminiscent of red fruits. Fresh, defined but elegant on the palate with good structure.

Tasting & Pairing

appreciated best if consumed whilst young at a cool temperature of 8–10°C, in medium sized wine glasses. Very versatile in pairing with food, ideal throughout the whole meal and with light dishes, including fish. It accompanies well also pizza or cured meats.
