Müller Thurgau – Trentino Doc

Caratteristiche

Grape variety

this grape variety was obtained in 1882 by the Swiss researcher Hermann Müller, native of the "Thurgau" canton of Switzerland, by cross pollinating Rheingau Riesling with Chasselas.

Vineyards

the pedo-climatic conditions and location of the vineyards in the hills and mountains of the Cavedine Valley, Bleggio and near Stenico, are the secret of the aroma and elegance of this Müller Thurgau. Only in these areas does the fresh climate and the wide temperature range allow the characteristics of this varietal wine to express themselves at their best.

Vinification & Aging

after crushing-destemming, soft pressing takes place with cold maceration which guarantees the best extraction of aromas, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. Followed by a few months of aging in stainless steel.

Organoleptic characteristics

pale straw yellow color with distinctive greenish hues. On the nose, Müller Thurgau expresses intense and elegant sensations, typical of this variety, with pleasantly aromatic notes. On the palate, it is dry and fresh with a fairly long finish.

Tasting & Pairing

to be served still young at a temperature of 8-10 ° C in medium-sized glasses. Aromatic and fresh, it goes perfectly with fresh cheeses and fish dishes, especially crustaceans and molluscs. Also worth trying as an aperitif.
